I took this image of a flower because the colour of the flower stands out from the green behind it. This is an example of complimentary colours as the green of the leaves makes the colour of the flower stand out more. The colour green relates to restfulness and the fact that the green is in the background and isn't the main focus helps the red/pink of the colour stand out more. The image almost suggests to us that the background of the photo is quieter but the foreground of the image is louder.
I took this image because the colours of the flowers stand out from the other colours in the picture. Once again the green is in the background of the colour which suggests to us that it is quieter and the foreground of the photo is louder. The colour yellow represents joy and is upbeat, this is shown in the photo as the sun is reflecting on the yellow flowers and the rest of the photo is in darkness. This photo also links to complimentary colours because the colours make each other stand out and we can focus our eyes on each different colour.
I took this image because it represents complimentary colours because the brown of the bench makes the blue of the bench stand out more as it makes the bench seem brighter. Shades of blue are flattering and this blue can be seen as flattering because it stands out and it makes the bench almost come to life as the other parts of the bench seem dull and lifeless. The blue almost brings the photo to life because if the whole bench was brown it probably wouldn't have attracted me to take the picture.
I took this image because it represents muted colours on the wall because the colours aren't bright. This image also represents complimentary colours because the blue of the sky makes the muted wall colours stand out. I like this image because I like how the image is almost abstract as when you look at the image it isn't certain if it is a wall and a sky and the shapes on the wall are also abstract. The blue brings the picture together because it makes the image less dull and boring.
I took this image because the paint on the wall stands out against the white border. This represents complimentary colours because the white makes the red, orange and grey stand out more. I like this image because it seems simple and boring but the colour helps bring the picture to life. The fact that the colours have been painted on a white background makes the colours seem brighter than if they were painted onto a black or darker colour background.
a good selection... and good annotation
