Pattern Image Bank

This image links to patterns because it shows an irregular pattern. The same thing is being repeated over and over again but not in the same shape or size. I can incorporate this in my work because I can take pictures of pavements or walls that contain shapes that are not all the same but still create a pattern. I like this image because although it is very simple and doesn't really have a meaning the cracks make the picture come to live because without the cracks the picture would be boring.

This image links to regular pattern because it shows a regular pattern as the houses that are repeated are the same. I like this image because it makes us think about things that we wouldn't normally look at as being patterns. I can use this idea in my work because it shows that anything can make a pattern even if at first glimpse we don't notice it. Also, I like the fact that this image is black and white as it adds more effect to the pattern because the houses are seen to be more bolder and stand out more.

This image is linked to pattern because it shows a regular pattern of the same thing being repeated over and over again. I like that this pattern had been created rather than found. The idea from this image can be used in my work because I can try and make patterns with objects. I like how this image is plain and simple but still has meaning of pattern.

This image is linked to pattern because its shows an irregular pattern as the same thing is being repeated over again but in different shapes and sizes. I like this image because at first glimpse you wouldn't take into consideration that it is representing a pattern. I can use this idea in my work because I can find walls with different sized bricks that make up the wall.

This image is linked to pattern because it shows an irregular pattern with the same thing being repeated over again but in different colours. I like this image because it is abstract as when you first look at it you are not sure what is being repeated. I can use this idea in my work because I can go close up onto the images to make them seem abstract.
